What are you reading?

Who wouldn't like to be there reading a great book? While you may not have any beach plans this summer, there is something about this time of year and reading a good book! Something you may not realize is that the church offers a wide selection of books (fiction and non-fiction) for you on a range of topics from some of the best authors for you to check out. 

We recently added a ton of them that align with our "rooted in God's love" initiative. Reading is something that is vital to challenging our minds and spirits. So what are you reading this summer and how is it helping you grow to become "rooted?" 

If you don't know the answer, stop by the church library (to the right as you enter the sanctuary from the welcome area) and let us help you!

Thursday's Thing...10 Facts Men Should Consider About Their Wife...

It's Valentines Day! I was looking through some old blogs I saved and I found this one from Perry Noble called 10 Things Men Should Consider About Their Wives. 

Here's a recap for the fellas (seriously, go check out the entire post here)

1. Before she was your wife she was God’s daughter…and He is VERY concerned about how someone treats His girl!

3. If a man will not lead his family then Satan will!  (See Genesis 3!)

6. No woman responds well to condemnation…and if we are supposed to love our wives like Christ loves the church, and there is NO condemnation for those who are in Christ (Romans 8:1) then we MUST watch our words carefully.

9. Surfing the Internet or playing games on your smart phone while she is sitting next to you on the couch is NOT romantic.

Ahhh...Christmas is over. Christmas is over? Christmas is over! Now all the bills start rolling in and where's the money coming from?
